This is story of two little flower faeries, Jacki the Jacaranda Faerie and her friend, Portia the Poinciana Faerie and their quest to win the Flower Dance Competition.

Jacki is favorite to win, but she has strong competition in Poppy, the Iceland Poppy ballet faerie, Indira the Crepe Myrtle nymph, whose exotic dancing pleases the judges, the colourful Peony faerie and other flower faeries who are diligently practicing their dance routines for the Jacaranda Festival.

Even Jacki’s friend Portia, who plans to dance the popular Rhumba, will be hard to beat.

The gossiping Mal the mozzie and his small buzzy friend, Nat the gnat, have all the faeries on edge with their tall tales about the other faeries' progress.

The flower faeries invite you to enjoy this amusing and light-hearted story which is beautifully illustrated by Anthea Wright.

Seated on the edge of a bird bath, two little flower faeries cooled their toes in the cool, clear water while they chattered about the Jacaranda Festival.

The faeries were both very pretty and colourful, but in completely different ways. Jacki, the Jacaranda faerie was dressed in lilac. She appeared cool and elegant while the brightly coloured Portia, the Poinciana faerie, was bold in red and yellow.
