Sea Faeries Trilogy is the story of three lovely faeries and their friends who live on a peaceful golden brown peninsula. The faeries welcome visitors but request that everyone respects the natural beauty of the area and keep it clean and tidy.

The peninsula is a very friendly place, so come and enjoy a relaxing summer holiday where you can fish, crab, sail, swim or just walk on the soft sandy beaches.

In October each year, one of the small towns celebrates a three day Oyster Festival in which Shelly, the Shell Faerie, likes to participate. She attends the Children's Party and even has her own dance competition. You are very welcome to dress up as a faerie and join in.

Stella, the blue Star Faerie, lives in the night sky above a calm shallow bay on the peninsula that, during the summer months, is popular with holiday makers both young and old. Blue Star Bay's beautiful soft colours often match the colour of the sky, which gives it an ethereal appearance. On clear nights, children have reported sightings of a blue faerie.

As the sun sinks in the west and a soft pink light settles across the horizon, Celeste, the Twilight Faerie, appears. She is the incarnation of early evening, when the activities of swimming, sailing and crabbing are exchanged for walks along the foreshore in the pinky-orange glow of Twilight Bay. Very few children have ever seen Celeste - it might just be you!

Ada's garden, which is close by Twilight Bay, has a secret Geranium Faerie. If you are lucky enough to see her, she may just invite you to dance with the Flower Faeries.

So this summer, don't stay at home, visit the peninsula where you may just happen to meet Shelly, Stella and Celeste or see the Geranium Faerie dancing in Ada's garden. Then there is the Seaweed Faerie...more about her later!

Sea Faeries Trilogy is a 'must read' for children over the summer holidays. The story is superbly illustrated by Anthea Wright.
